The amount of compensation that can be awarded is judged on the permanence of the loss or damage to the hair:

Total or Permanent loss of hair including psychological injury: £25,000

Permanently damaged hair as a consequence of perming, tinting and the like: £5,000 to £12,500

Temporary damaged hair as a consequence of perming, tinting and the like: £500 to £5,000
