Hands

Total loss of or loss of use of one hand: approximately £65,000

Total loss of or loss of use of both hands: approximately £100,000

Injuries to one hand: anything from approximately £500 in the case of a minor injury with a recovery time measured in weeks, to approximately £50,000 where the injury is severe and permanent and equivalent to effective loss of the hand. Typical awards for hand injury involving one or more broken bones with some permanent residual problems are in the region of approximately £10,000.

Hand/Arm Vibration syndrome (HAVS)

Hand arm vibration syndrome (HAVS) caused by longstanding work vibration: approximately £7,500 to £25,000 depending on age of victim, residual hand function and whether or not one or both hands are affected.

Fingers

Total loss of or loss of use of one thumb: approximately £25,000

Total loss of or loss of use of one finger: approximately £10,000

Total loss of or loss of use of two fingers: approximately £25,000

Total loss of or loss of use of three or more fingers: approximately £30,000 to £50,000

Loss of or loss of use of part of one thumb: anything from approximately £1,000 up to approximately £25,000 depending on the severity of the injury, the length of the recovery time, age of victim and any residual use/disability

Loss of or loss of use of part of one finger: anything from approximately £500 up to approximately £10,000 depending on the severity of the injury, the length of the recovery time and any residual use/disability.

Vibration White Finger

Vibration white finger (VWF) caused by longstanding work vibration: approximately £2,500 to £15,000 depending on number of fingers affected, age of victim, and severity of symptoms
